Budget for next fiscal: Now Finance deptt seeks details about sanctioned posts, vacancies from deptts | KNO

Srinagar, Oct 28 (KNO): As part of the exercise for preparation of the budget for the next fiscal, the Finance department has asked the departments to submit details about their establishment budget. In a letter, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Finance department has directed all the departments to furnish details about their establishment. The departments have been directed to submit details about sanctioned posts in 2021-22, filled posts, vacant posts and other details. As already reported by KNO, the Finance department had directed all the departments to submit details about its key features and outcomes. A senior official of the Finance department said these details are being collected to prepare a budget for the next fiscal. As part of the budget making, the Finance department held discussions on budget proposals of revised estimates, 2021-22 & budget estimates, 2022-23 with all the departments. This will be the third budget of J&K Union Territory to be presented in the Parliament as Jammu and Kashmir is currently without an elected government. The previous two budgets were presented in the month of March 2020 and 2021 by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Since June 2018, J&K is without its an elected regime after BJP withdrew support to Mehbooba Mufti-led government—(KNO)
